Job Title 1: Digital Content Developer

Location: Abuja (FCT).

Job Description

  • The ideal candidate for this role should possess amazing skills to create compelling and engaging digital content.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing campaigns, including marketing database, email and display advertising.
  • Create and develop content on social media and monitor engagement.
  • Design, build and maintain social media presence.
  • Social media marketing.
  • Ensure lead generation and conversion.
  • Effectively manage the website to ensure ranking and website visits meet specified targets.
  • Ensure guest engagement through creation of relevant content across all digital and online platforms.
  • Measure and record performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
  • Measure web traffic to content e.g. conversion and bounce rates.
  • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend based on the insights.
  • Evaluate important metrics that affect our website and social media traffic.
  • Developing and growing an effective brand messaging strategy.
  • Capturing, editing and producing photos and videos for both internal and external purposes.
  • Visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos.
  • Shape the visual aspects of Company website, brochures, product packaging and related material.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Plan and execute events in collaboration with the Marketing/PR team.
  • Develop and capture all internal and external events relating to leads generation

Skills and Qualification

  • A good first Degree.
  • At least 2 years proven work experience in digital marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audience and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate users.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • A demonstrable knowledge in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is an added advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, Web Trends).
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g. DART, Atlas).
  • Basic knowledge of Graphic Design using Corel Draws, Canvas and Photoshop.
  • Highly skilled in photography and videography.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Have an outgoing, vibrant and bubbly personality.

Job Title 2: Staff Writer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking to recruit individuals to lead a wide coverage on financial markets, monetary and fiscal policies and the banking sector in Nigeria. The individuals are expected to create contents specifically on Life, Money, Planning, Economy, Family & Money, Mortgage, Insurance, Personal Taxes, Loans, and Banking amongst others.

Job Summary

  • The individual is expected to deliver updates and analysis that allow the public to witness and understand personal finance, keep the public informed by providing standard content, such as news reports, reviews and features and perform detailed research on various topics as assigned.
  • The ideal candidate for this role should possess amazing writing skills to create compelling and engaging content. He/she should be a wordsmith and fluent with grammar and punctuation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
  • Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
  • Submit work to editors for input and approval
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Develop objective and accurate content to meet target audience expectations.
  • Build contacts and sources to use in future research
  • Contribute to content idea generation for publications.

Requirements
The Ideal applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven professional experience as a staff/content writer majorly on finance related subjects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Creative Writing or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years Experience.

 

Job Title 3: Intern – Content Creative Writer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description
This intern will work with the Company in an Internship capacity as young and creative content creators to:

  • Development, create, communicate, and produce finance news using exciting, innovative and entertaining approach through new ideas, target networks to sell publication series to, and foster the creative management of scripts at the birth of finance news (macro and micro).

Responsibilities
Internship duties include, but are not limited to:

  • News Coverage: Interns will be required to create for publications incoming finance and/or economic news (macro and micro), summarizing finance news releases by the various government agencies, and private sector and giving communicating opinions using an entertaining approach to generate audience.
  • Administrative support: Help to edit contents for final publication.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • In pursuit of OND, HND, Bachelor or Graduate degrees.
  • Other freelancers seeking to explore positions in this area.
  • Must be smart, creative and intelligent.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong interest in the finance and entertainment industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Report and write news stories for publication describing the background and details of events.
  • Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a particular story.
  • Review copy and correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines.
  • Review and evaluate notes taken about event aspects in order to isolate pertinent facts and details.
  • Determine a story’s emphasis, length, and format, and organize material accordingly.
  • Research and analyze background information related to stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information.
  • Gather information about events through research, interviews, experience, and attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social, and other functions.
  • Investigate breaking news developments such as disasters, crimes, and human interest stories.
  • Research and report on specialized fields such as Life, Money, Planning, Economy, Family & Money, Mortgage, Insurance, Personal Taxes, Loans, and Banking
  • Receive assignments or evaluate leads and tips in order to develop story ideas.
  • Discuss issues with editors in order to establish priorities and positions.
  • Check reference materials such as books, news files, and public records in order to obtain relevant facts.
  • Revise work in order to meet editorial approval or to fit time or space requirements.
  • Photograph or videotape news events, or request that a photographer be assigned to provide such coverage.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, finance, Creative Writing or relevant field
  • At least 3 years work experience.
  • Experience reporting on financial markets, industries and regulations
  • A proven ability to build strong market sources and break news
  • A background in real-time news
  • An ability to explain complex markets to a broad business audience
  • Strong news judgement and writing skills
  • Experience using data and analytical tools to highlight trends

 

Job Title: Editor

Location: Abuja
Job Description

  • We are looking to recruit individuals to lead a wide coverage on financial markets, monetary and fiscal policies and the banking sector in Nigeria.
  • The individuals are expected to create contents specifically on Life, Money, Planning, Economy, Family & Money, Mortgage, Insurance, Personal Taxes, Loans, and Banking amongst others.

Job Summary:

  • The editors shall be responsible for planning, coordinating, indexing, and revising contents of written materials, in preparation for final publication. The position requires individuals who has thorough knowledge in editorial services, writing and contents creation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage writers and reporters and enforce deadlines on news stories submission and production.
  • Coordinate online publishing cycle and manage content areas.
  • Set publication standards and establish goals and expectations.
  • Provide support and guidance of editorial team, identify opportunities for professional growth and coordinate the training.
  • Create entertaining finance news and attractive headlines in alignment with targeted audience preferences.
  • Ensure that all stories for the website are assigned and deadlines are established.
  • Responsible for website design and layout (artwork, graphics, videos and photography) of the news sections.
  • Proofread, edit and improve content forwarded by writers for accuracy, errors and plagiarism.
  • Assess reader complaints, incorporate suggestions and take responsibility for issues after publication.
  • Cooperate and liaise with other members of the media team to decide on new posts
  • Collaborate with other professionals (online and traditional media) to improve article presentation.
  • Appraise reporters and line editors and ensure they meet their KPIs
  • Use SEO and social media
  • Monitor website’s traffic to measure popularity
  • Keep track of developments in web technology
  • Comply with media laws and ethical guidelines.

Requirements
The ideal candidates should be comfortable covering market-sensitive stories in real time, breaking news and crafting deeply reported features in addition to the following:

  • A creative writer with a good bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in writing and proofreading
