Responsibilities
- The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day financial administration and control of University finances.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates for this post must possess a good honors Degree or equivalent in Accounting from a recognized University as well as professionally recognized accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA, DPA, ANAN etc plus a minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience preferably in a University or similar institution, where he/she must have served at the level of Deputy Bursar.
- Candidates should also be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant and have a working knowledge of a good accounting package.
- Candidates should not be above 60 years at the time of assumption of office and should be within the retirement age at the expiration of his/her tenure.
Conditions of Service
- The conditions of service are the same as those obtainable in the Nigerian University System.
Salary Scale
CONTISS 15.
