We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Aba, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Roles/Responsibilities

• Establishing a sound accounting framework with due cognizance of the company’s operation.
• Preparation of all financial statements of the company up to the balance sheet designed to know the company operational direction.
• Liaison with other accounting staff to put in place effective controls to move the company forward.
• Preparation of the company’s Monthly and Annual Budgets and monitoring the budget properly for effective implementation.
• Manage banking Reconciliation and Salary Administration
• Ensure that adequate books and records are maintained by the company so that accurate financial statements may be prepared for Management and ensure that the company’s records are adequate for safeguarding of its assets and for the control of its revenue and expenditure.
• Advice on the financial implementation of both existing and proposed board policies and continuously considers whether the assets of the company are being used to full advantage.
• Provide the management and all departments with adequate financial information to enable them to assess past performance and to formulate future policies.
• Ensure that all Government legislation affecting the company’s activities are strictly adhered to and that adequate return for taxation and excise are made to the appropriate government departments.
• Introduce and maintain accounting systems which will prevent loss by fraud or wastage in any sphere of the company’s activities.
• Introduce and maintain effective digital and other systems and keep abreast of modern accounting and financial techniques and practices.
• Prepare monthly accounts by the earliest possible date which accurately records the operations of the company.
• Ensure that all the company’s asset and interests are adequately covered by adequate insurance policies.
• Ensure that periodic forecast of the company’s profitability and cash positions are drawn up.
• Appraise profitability and fundability of all major capital investments by the company.
• Ensure that profitability and return on investments of all proposed projects, brands, and blends are properly re-evaluated.
• Makes sure that every financial data is keyed into the system for accurate report.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND or B.Sc Degree with a minimum of 4 years work experience.

Salary
N50,000 – N70,000 Monthly.
