Rural Youth Skill Acquisition (RYSA) Program Application Link. Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Program 2023 – Are you a Nigerian youth from a rural community, eager to acquire valuable skills and kickstart your entrepreneurial journey? Look no further! The Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Program (RYSA) is now accepting applications for the 2023 edition.

RYSA, organized by the Centre for Rural Youth Entrepreneurship and Environmental Development with support from the Federal Government, UNCDF, UNIDO, and EU, aims to empower rural youths with essential skills and income-generating opportunities.

RYSA Program Training Components

RYSA’s training program comprises two vital components:

1. Practical / Hands-on Training: Beneficiaries receive practical training to acquire essential skills needed for success in their chosen ventures. This hands-on training is facilitated by Master Trainers across various communities nationwide.

2. Community Business School (CBS) Training: The CBS training is mandatory for all RYSA beneficiaries. It spans twelve weeks and is conducted once a week alongside the practical training. CBS equips participants with essential life and business skills crucial for success.

– Welding and Fabrication
– Woodwork and Furniture
– Solar Works
– Auto Mechanic

Eligibility Requirements for RYSA Nigeria

To be eligible for RYSA, candidates must meet the following criteria:

– Age: Between 18 and 35 years old
– Origin: Hail from a rural community within Nigeria’s 36 states
– Education: Possess a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or higher
– Interest: Have basic knowledge and a demonstrated interest in the listed enterprises/ventures
– Commitment: Willing to learn new skills and apply them to personal ventures post-training

How to Apply for RYSA Nigeria (Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Program)

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

Interested candidates should complete and submit the online application form on the official RYSA website: [https://rysa.ng/](https://rysa.ng/). Ensure accurate registration and provide the required contact information. Upload the following documents:

– Passport Photograph (white background, jpg or png format)
– Local Government Certificate of Origin (jpg, png, or pdf format)
– Birth Certificate or Sworn Affidavit of Age Declaration (jpg, png, or pdf format)
– Means of Identification (NIN, Voters ID, Drivers License, or International Passports; jpg, png, or pdf format)

Step 2: Select a Skill-Set/Enterprise/Venture

Choose one preferred skill-set/enterprise/venture from the provided list. Each training lasts for 6 months.

Step 3: Submit a Motivation/Personal Statement

Complete the online Motivation/Personal statement form, explaining your reasons for applying to RYSA and how the knowledge gained will benefit you and your rural community.

Step 4: Enroll for Proficiency Skill Test

Enroll and pass the proficiency test related to your chosen skill-set. This is mandatory and charges may apply.

Step 5: Application Summary

Review your application carefully before clicking the submit button. No corrections can be made after submission.

Important Dates and Instructions

Shortlisted candidates will receive an email containing instructional materials for the program. Successful candidates will also receive a Zoom meeting link for an event on September 4th.
