We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head of School and Curriculum Developer
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time
Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective general management of the School, ensuring the provision of academic leadership and strategic vision, and for the quality of the student experience.
- The Head of the School will be the budget holder, following devolved authority, and will be financially accountable to the management. The Head of Curriculum (HOC) is primarily concerned with planning and overseeing the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum.
- The HOC provides feedback to administration and teaching staff in relation to the effectiveness of current systems and raises awareness of new learning frameworks through the development of appropriate monitoring systems and the provision of training and professional development.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic plan for the School, in consultation with the School Executive, including the preparation of a staffing and resource plan.
- Reviewing the performance of the School in terms of its objectives as stated in its strategic plan and in its staffing and resource plan.
- Managing the resource allocation process within the School.
- Developing and maintaining a vibrant research culture of international standard, including the promotion of research initiatives and networks.
- Ensuring the regular review, evaluation, and development of programs offered by the School.
- Support video content creation
- Grading of students
- Ensuring the effective operation of the School in accordance with approved governance procedures.
- Implementing decisions of the Board and Council.
- Prepare an annual report in agreement with the School’s Executive Committee and for consideration by the School Committee.
- Dealing with staff recruitment matters that fall within the remit of the School.
- Having overall responsibility for the management of the School’s program of teaching, and the implementation of the College’s academic policy.
- Research and advice on curriculum development.
- Ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality teaching and the maintenance of academic standards.
- Promoting a culture of learning that is directed to student needs, and of teaching that is informed by the research interests.
