NYSC ETC Loan Pay Back: How to Payback NYSC ETC Loan and Get another

How to pay back NYSC Empowering The Corps (ETC) loan – After getting your ETC loan, there are certain ways to repay the loan to enable you get access to another or more loans. The faster or earlier you payback the more you get access to more loans. The pay back procedure is applicable to all NYSC ETC (Empowering The Corps) Loan Packages.

What repayments plans do you have on the ETC loan?

You can repay your loans over 3 – 9 months period depending on your choice at the point of application. Note that the choice of tenor affects the loan amount that can be accessed at any time.

How do I pay back the ETC loan?

A repayment schedule is generated on the ETC Portal for the Corps. Periodic reminders will be sent to you informing you of the due dates for your repayments.

Repayments can be made through our various online channels – Quick teller (search ETC Loan), ATM Terminals; at all banks using PayDirect (ask for Credit Direct Payments); at designated POS terminals in our branches.

How can I confirm if my repayment has been received by Credit Direct Limited?

An SMS and email notification will be sent within 24hours of payment to confirm receipt. This will also be updated on the ETC portal instantly.

Can I have access to an additional loan when I have not finished repaying a previous loan?

No. All payments must be completed before another loan request can be made.

Can I pay back my loan before the end of the loan tenor?

YES. Payments can be made through any of the repayment channels and once CDL is notified of payment, loan is immediately closed.

What happens if I get transferred or redeployed while on ETC loan?

Corps member is expected to notify CDL of the transfer / redeployment. However, repayments are expected to continue timely and as scheduled.

Can I get a loan if I don’t have up to 9 months in service to complete the repayment tenor?

YES. However, the tenor available will be a factor of the number of months left for active service for the Corps Member applying.

What happens when I don’t service my loan timely or don’t pay up?

All loan repayments are to be made regularly as advised and within the tenor selected. Failure to do so would attract penalty. In addition, Corps Members who continue to miss payments will be reported to the NYSC and will have their certificates embargoed until all payments and penalties have been paid to Credit Direct Limited
