Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to commence recruitment 2021 Update

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has announced that fresh recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force will start soon.

The IGP made the disclosure in Jos, Plateau State, during his working visit to the state police command.
Baba said the Force and the Police Service Commission (PSC) are working closely on the process.

He decried the loss of officers across the country and hailed fallen heroes for their sacrifices.

Baba assured that eligible children of the deceased would be considered during the recruitment.

The IGP restated his commitment to improve the welfare and working conditions in the Force.

He stressed the need for attitudinal change by officers and implored them to work diligently and professionally.

Baba is visiting commands to restore confidence as personnel enforce law and order amid threats to public safety as well as attacks on police formations and units.

Nigeria Police Recruitment Requirements 2021/2022

Read the below NPF recruitment requirements:

• Must be aged between 17 to 25 years
• Must possess “a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB”.
• Applicants must be medical, physical, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67m tall for male and 1.64m tall for female.
• Female applicants must not be pregnant at the time of the recruitment.
• Every applicant should possess a valid identity card. It can be your driving license, voter’s card, or international passport.
• For candidates who apply for police constables. English and Mathematics are compulsory.
  Advanced Level (A level), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), National Certificate in Education (NCE) or their equivalents (for Cadet Inspectors).
• University degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND).
