Lotus Capital is a pioneer in non-interest finance in Nigeria and duly registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) as Fund Managers.

Over the last 14 years, we have consistently contributed towards the growth of non-interest finance in the Nigerian capital market, and also manage 3 mutual funds listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

(1)Job Title: Investment Analyst

Location: Lagos
Reporting To:  Head, Investment Management & Research

Job Roles/Responsibilities

  • Construct investment portfolios for domestic and foreign assets including equities, fixed income and alternative investments with the aim of maximizing investment returns
  • Manage portfolio risk in line with mandates
  • Provide advice and guidance on investment opportunities
  • Create investment performance reports
  • Provide support to transaction advisory teams in identifying and packaging investment opportunities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on market conditions and economic trends.
  • Head of Unit

  • HR & Admin Performance is imperative and the achievement of set targets will highly influence the review of your employment at Lotus Capital.
  • A performance review exercise will be conducted every six (6) months to ensure you are in line with your goal.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance or a related discipline
  • Passed the CFA Level I exam – minimum requirement
  • Attended trainings on Non-interest/Islamic finance preferred
  • Minimum of three-years’ experience in investment and financial assets management in a financial institution
  • Strong understanding of investment strategies and risk management.

(2)Job Title: Full-Stack Web Developer

Location: Lagos
Reporting To: Head, Information Technology

Job Description

  • Design and develop user interactions, servers, and databases for website functionalities and coding for mobile platforms.
  • Particular responsibilities include developing front end channels’ architecture and basic back-end integration.

Job Roles/Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the needs of users and analyse any technical issues to program highly functional systems.
  • Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
  • Managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing web application to improve overall user experience and to meet company standard
  • Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups
  • Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting them
  • Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Development languages: Knowledge of server-side programming languages including C# with
  • .Net framework, or PHP Laravel framework preferrable
  • Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as, Bootstrap, React Js, Angular, jQuery,Vue Js, and LESS
  • API: Develop secured and cross platform APIs with proper documentation
  • Database and cache: Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
  • Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
  • Server: Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers for application hosting
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it
  • Payment Gateway: hands-on experience implementing industry standard payment gateways using API.
  • Minimum of three-years’ experience in Web application development and deployment on production server.
  • Mobile Application development experience will be an added advantage.

Job Roles/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growth of digital business
  • Develop policies for managing and standardizing electronic products
  • Manage all electronic channels and platforms
  • Provide periodic data analytics from channels
  • Develop innovative digital products
  • Develop new channels for service delivery
  • Effective project management to ensure delivery of approved digital products
  • Create revenue generating opportunities from digital platforms
  • Manage relationship with all partners and stakeholders
  • Maintain productive relationships with IT, Business Development and other departments
  • Provide training and guidance on digital business and electronic products.

Accountability: Industry Expertise:

  • Excellent understanding of Digital Industry and electronic products
  • Knowledge of electronic products regulations and requirements
  • Understand Financial Inclusion concept and strategies
  • Knowledge of the capital market products would be an added advantage.

Accountability: Risk, Governance & Control:

  • Provide analysis of monthly statistics for product tracking purpose
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Comply with all the Group’s policies and procedures
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements with vendors and ensure effective delivery of services to both internal and external customers.

Accountability: Financial Management:

  • Create revenue generating opportunities from digital platforms
  • Ensure financial targets are achieved for Digital Business
  • Responsible for cost management of products in line with budget
  • Ensure appropriate product pricing with due consideration for local conditions
  • Perform all other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree.

(4)Job Title: Financial Advisory Officer

Location: Lagos
Department: Financial Advisory

Job Description

  • The candidate shall be responsible for supporting the Head of Unit in executing financial advisory mandates.
  • The candidate is expected to have core financial analysis and modelling skills as well as experience in transaction structuring and fixed-income securities issuance.

Job Roles/ Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain client base, and engage new clients for advisory transactions
  • Identify and determine feasibility of financial advisory transactions, and contribute to negotiations
  • Articulate clients’ business objectives and financial plans and engage buy-side or sell-side counterparties on transactions
  • Conduct financial and commercial due diligence and prepare advanced financial models
  • Prepare financing structures, information memorandums, investor presentations, technical bids and other presentations as applicable
  • Work closely with other transaction parties and manage/coordinate virtual and physical data rooms
  • Keep abreast of new regulations or policies that may affect various industries and consistently monitor local and international financial markets
  • Manage work streams on multiple transactions
  • Conduct relevant industry research and update databases accordingly
  • Participate in the management and development of the department by carrying out marketing and proposal efforts.
  • Manage and supervise financial advisory analysts in the execution of the above responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of a First Degree (Second Class Upper), a Master’s Degree and / or Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA)
  • Training in Islamic Finance or SRI will be an added advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of core investment banking and financial advisory experience in an investment bank/Issuing house
  • Experience in infrastructure projects, Islamic Finance or SRI will be an added advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial skills, creativity and people management skills
  • Strong analytical abilities, self-confidence, persistence, initiative and persuasiveness
  • Good knowledge of applied Corporate Finance techniques
  • Advanced business writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Good research and financial modeling skills.
  • Good appreciation of major industry and regulatory trends and challenges.
