Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya Recruitment- The Kaduna State College of Education is looking to hire suitable candidate to fill the position of a Provost. Interested candidates should kindly apply below.The Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya was established in 1977. It is located in Gidan Waya, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The College was established to produce quality teachers to assume teaching posts and posts of responsibility in primary and post primary educational institutions and educational administration among others. The College has since been producing quality teachers for the State and other States of the Federation.

Job Title: Provost

Qualifications and Requirements
- All candidates for the post of Provost must show in clear terms their vision and mission statements for the College in the next five (5) years.
- At least, not be below the rank of Chief Lecturer or its equivalent of, at least, five (5) years cognate experience
- Not be less than 45 years of age at the time of assumption of duty
- Have Educational qualifications plus Ph.D Degree in one of the subjects taught at NCE Programmes
- Have evidence of academic and administrative leadership
- Possess a teaching qualification and must be registered with the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria
- Have spent, at least, seventeen (17) years of Post-graduate working experience, ten (10) of which must have been spent in teaching and research
- Produce evidence of academic publications in reputable journals as well as presentations at educationally related conferences, seminars or workshops
- Must be of good conduct, possess sense of discipline, dedication, drive, resourcefulness and be able to command the respect and loyalty of the members of staff and students
- Be proficient in ICT and emergent technologies Have record of community service
- Be medically fit for the job
- Possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption or Exclusion Certificate
- Must have the minimum number of years of service to serve a full tenure of five (5) years from the date of assumption of office.
Conditions of Service
- This is according to the provisions of the law and as obtained in other similar Colleges of Education in the country. The appointment is for a single non-renewable term of five (5) years effective from the date of appointment.
- The salary of the Provost is consolidated and the Provost shall enjoy other benefits as may be approved by the Kaduna State Government from time to time.
