What is IMPACT Initiatives?

IMPACT Initiatives is a humanitarian NGO based in Geneva, Switzerland. It manages several initiatives, including the REACH Initiative, which provides real-time information on population movements, needs, and access to services in humanitarian crises. IMPACT’s team comprises specialists in data collection, management, and analysis, and GIS.

What is the Senior Assessment Officer position responsible for?

The Senior Assessment Officer is responsible for the planning and implementation of research cycles related to the TPM Project. This includes:

• Preparing Terms of References for research cycles
• Conducting secondary data reviews
• Developing research designs and data analysis plans
• Building tools (e.g., questionnaires)
• Participating in data cleaning and analysis
• Producing relevant information products

The Senior Assessment Officer will also support the RM with stakeholder engagement and liaise closely with the FACT Foundation team.

Requirements for the position

The ideal candidate will have:

• A master’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience with complex research methods and excellent analytical skills
• Proven knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, R, SPSS, and/or STATA or other statistical analysis software
• Familiarity with the aid system
• 2-3 years of relevant working experience
• Experience working with TPM (an asset)
• Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting
• Ability to multitask with tight deadlines on numerous research cycles
• Proven ability to work independently
• Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility
• Fluency in English (competency in French an asset)
