Min-hyuk is set to arrive at Tottenham in January, and the young attacker looks like a promising player.
The South Korean has bags of potential, but speaking to Men In Blazers, Heung-Min Son has warned his fellow countryman that this move will be difficult.
Indeed, Son says that things are going to be hard for the attacker, claiming that the winger needs to work really hard if he’s going to make it at Tottenham.
Heung-Min Son’s warning to Yang Min-hyuk
The Tottenham captain laid bare the reality of making this switch to the Premier League.
“It’s going to be hard. I’ve got to just tell him that being in the Premier League is not easy at all. Be prepared, the language, the culture, the physicality.
“Moving away from your family, everything has to be perfect to be a top player. I don’t want him to be scared about this, but I want to give him a warning, a realistic warning and this will help him. You feel you are doing good in the K-League, but there are young players here every day who want to take your chances and take your position.”
Yang Min-hyuk has the perfect mentor
Yang Min-Hyuk may find things difficult when he arrived in England, but he has the perfect mentor in the shape of Son.
Indeed, Son has been there and done it all before, he knows what it’s like to move to a big league from Korea, and he’s made a success of himself wherever he has been.
Yang Min-hyuk will have a difficult period of adaptation, but there isn’t a player in world football who is better-placed to guide the youngster than Son.
Min-hyuk will have to work hard, but with the right attitude, he could be a star for Tottenham for years to come.
