Job Title: Junior High School Teacher
Location: Mallam – Kasoa Highway, Weija, Accra – Ghana
Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent
Curriculum: British – Ghanaian and Christ Centre Curricula International Academy
Start Date: September 2022
Job Roles/Responsibilities
- Teach students in a classroom setting, managing their work output in the classroom and behavior daily.
- Develop teaching and learning materials for use in class, including lesson plans, exams and homework, homework and projects, and assignments that make use of all student skills.
- Modify lesson plans and materials as needed to make them suitable for students’ current learning levels.
- Monitor and track student progress and issue grades.
- Maintain relationships with parents and legal guardians of students to keep them informed of their child’s progress.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and administrators, including special ed teachers and teacher’s aids, to provide individualized support for each student on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with other teachers to share best practices and provide meaningful feedback regularly.
- Ensure that students meet educational standards and school performance goals for their grade level.
Qualifications and Requirements
- First Degree in Education with ICT proficiency
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
Salary
Negotiable plus incentives.
