Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses
• Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate
• Reconcile all business accounts to ensure records match up and no transaction is lost
• Facilitate all outgoing cheques and distributing cheques as necessary.
• Evaluate financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions that will help the organization run efficiently.
• Receive Artisan’s invoices and ensure prompt settlement for payment.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports (income, expenditure, landlord account etc.) using standard best practices.
• Assist the core team with other accounting duties as needed
• Prepare accounts and tax returns and ensure taxes are paid properly as and when due.
• Maintain relationship with the organization’s bank account officers and carry out periodic bank reconciliations where required.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting
• Good communication and writing skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft office software
• Ability to pay attention to details.
