We are recruiting to fill the position below:

(1)Job Title: Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (Tech) – Safety Advisor II

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • Provides safety / health support to the site leadership team and the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)) Contractor’s organization. In some cases, responsibilities may extend to other Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) issues, status, and metrics.

Job Roles/ Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support to proponent organizations to assist them in implementing the Safety Management System and in meeting safety objectives and expectations.
  • This support includes assisting Business Lines in developing safety processes related to risk assessment and management, safety training, asset integrity, safe operations, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, incident investigations, etc.
  • Conduct field inspections of onshore and offshore oil/gas facilities, project construction sites, drilling rigs, and support facilities such office buildings, warehouses, and communities. This includes working with BL to identify safety concerns, formulate solutions, and develop practical and cost-effective corrective actions.
  • Participate in various safety studies/activities, such as: PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, or insurance surveys.

 Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated work experience in construction safety-related positions (including some prior oil & gas experience)
  • Indepth knowledge of security processes and procedures
  • Proficient in use of computers and programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Microsoft Office
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, as required to function effectively within a project team
  • Prefer prior experience working in a multicultural / multilingual, emerging nation, environment
  • Willingness to travel / live away from home for extended time periods
  • Demonstrated ability (through past project successes) to deliver excellence in project SSHE performance
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful internal and external working relationships with emphasis on interfacing in a team environment
  • Must be fit for duty for a construction field environment (examples include uneven, unpaved walking surfaces, large structures that are accessible only via ladders or stairs, standing for extended time periods, climbing, bending, walking, reaching, and other physical demands)
  • Ability to work in harsh environments (examples include temperature and / or humidity extremes, remote locations with limited amenities) with changing priorities
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently in performing contractor services with an appreciation for company processes and procedures
  • No training will be provided (other than the company’s specific safety standards and procedures)

(2)Job Title: Projects (Tech) – Construction Superintendent III

Location: QIT, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Contract

Job Roles/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling the day-to-day field operations for the assigned crafts and subcontractors.
  • A typical scope of responsibility would be Field Superintendent or Area Superintendent.
  • Assist in preparation and review for submittals, RFIs and RFCs and make recommendations regarding suitability
  • Review contractor health and safety plans, traffic control and erosion control measures on projects
  • Verify quantities for payment
  • Identify non-conformance issues with construction work and help develop potential resolution of non-conformance issues
  • May serve as the lead Company representative at sub-sites where the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead typically does not reside
  • Provide construction core competency expertise when assigned to the function
  • Ensure good communications and relations with the contractors

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • Experience in-field Construction planning, execution and completions
  • Willing to travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites
  • Past Construction Superintendent experience on major capital project
  • Familiar with Construction Materials Testing procedures and ASTM standards
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with desire to provide excellent service to clients

(3)Job Title: Operations (Tech) – Logistics Coordinator III

Location: Bonny, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • Work in-country to manage the EPC’s Logistics and Materials Management process. Serve as Logistics interface between Logistics Manager/Lead and Contractor organization to ensure logistics execution. Interface between Logistics manager/Lead and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). Provide Logistics and Materials Management support for all project deliverables.

Job Roles/Responsibilities

  • Work closely with operations to facilitate requests
  • Data entry to insure that all charge code/AFE and Contractual nomenclature is referenced
  • Work within customer portals to facilitate load communication and billing inputs are completed.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other Technical Degree
  • Experience in logistics planning and execution, construction, safety, and procurement
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • General computer knowledge with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to manage critical timelines, attention to detail and accuracy, and deal with stressful situations professionally.

Roles/ Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
  • Coordination and communication of various issues among the company’s and contractor’s engineering team that affect the discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work
  • Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of discipline design drawings and documents
  • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to Company procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
  • Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
  • Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
  • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor’s and subcontractor’s locations
  • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in engineering design
  • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience (15 Years)
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria

(6)Job Title: Operations (Tech) – Electrical Maintenance Technician II

Location: QIT, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (LockOut Tagout: LockOut TagOut (LOTO)) for lighting, air condition and motor maintenance.
  • Plan and execute scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize impact on production, and maximize operational availability.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Perform LV & HV Electrical Isolations and lock-offs.
  • Carryout all activities to company standards and procedures
  • Raise relevant permits within the agreed time period
  • Report relevant maintenance data for reliability analysis
  • Participate in failure investigations and identify reliability issues
  • Generate new work requests to highlight plant and equipment faults
  • Develop and review operational and maintenance procedures
  • Provide input and assistance for new projects including commissioning work

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, B.Eng or B.Tech with at least 10 years work experience.
  • Previous experience in a closely related position, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Discipline appropriate certification(s) if applicable or equivalent professional experience
  • Effective communication skills;  ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps
  • Team Player; exhibits effective team work when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
